Abstract:

The Body freedom flutter phenomenon is one of the aeroelastic instabilities that occurs due to the coupling of the aeroelastic bending mode of the wing with the short-period mode in the flight dynamics of the aircraft. By using the aeroservoelastic model and applying closed loop control, this phenomenon can be suppressed in the operating conditions of the aircraft and the velocity of this event can be increased. The simplest model aircraft capable of displaying this instability includes the flexible wing and the planar flight dynamics model. For this purpose, the wing structure is modeled using the Euler-Bernoulli beam and, the theory of minimum variable state is used to model unstable aerodynamics to make the conditions suitable for modeling the system in state space. In the control section, the elevator is used as the control surface and LQR theory with Kalman filter is used to Body freedom flutter suppression. Finally, the effect of adding a closed loop control to increase the Body freedom flutter velocity and the limitations of this work are studied.

Background and Objective: An individual's attitude toward an ideal Body can affect different aspects of their life. There is no clear evidence regarding the relationship between an individual’s Body Composition and ideal Body image. The aim of the present study was to determine the relationship between an individual’s Body fat percent and weight on his/her perception of ideal Body shape.Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 151 volunteers who were referred to a diet therapy clinic in Tehran in 2016 participated. Participants were selected by convenience sampling method. At first, weight, height and Body Composition of participants were measured. Then, 21 standardized female Body images with different waist to hip ratios (WHR) and Body fat percent (BF%) were presented to the participants. The participants were asked to rank them according to their attractiveness. Then the images were scored according to their ranks and the trend of score changes in the different levels of studied factors was evaluated. Data were analyzed in SPSS-22 software using descriptive methods, analytical tests such as repeated measure analysis of variances, Bonferroni and linear regression. Results: A total of 151 people, including 92 (60.9%) women and 59 (39.1) men participated in the study. The image with WHR of 0.68 and BF% of 23% received the highest score (8 out of 9). A linear inverse relationship was found between the score of the image and its WHR (P<0.001) and BF% (P<0.001). The interaction between WHR and BF% was also significant (P<0.001). No significant differences were found between the scores of individuals with different levels of BMI, Body fat and gender. Conclusion: Study showed factors such as gender, weight and Body Composition have no effects on the ideal Body image perception.

Abstract:

Introduction: The present study was a comprehensive study that assessed the effects of exposure to mobile phone radiation on Body weight and Body Composition as well as assessing the critical indicators associated with Body Composition. Methods: Twenty rats weighing 200+10g at 4 to 6 weeks of age were individually housed in cages. The rats were randomly divided into the following two groups of 10 animals each: the control group and an exposure group that underwent electromagnetic wave radiation for 4 hours once a day for five weeks. The exposure was given by mobile phone having a specific absorption rate (SAR) of 0. 90 watts/kg. Results: There were no significant differences in mean changes in weight, height, lee index, and chest between the two groups. No significant differences were detected in fat mass, lean mass, and total mass of exposure and control groups at the end of the study. There were no significant differences among groups in FBS, lipid profile, thyroid hormone, kidney function, and appetite-regulating hormones. Conclusions: The current study showed that exposure to mobile phone radiations for 4 hours once a day for five weeks (SAR of 0. 90 Watt/kg) has no adverse effects on the thyroid, kidney functions, and hormonal profiles as well as Body weight and Body Composition.
